Privacy policy
Last updated October 5, 2026
The short version. We keep only what we need to sell you an invitation and keep it online: your email, your invitation wording, and the link to your own Google Form. Your guests’ replies go from their phones straight to your Google Sheet. We never see them and we have no copy. We don’t sell your information, and we don’t run ads or tracking cookies.
Who we are
Minimary (minimary.co) is a small shop run from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Questions about this policy or your information: hello@minimary.co.
What we collect, and why
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your email address (typed at checkout) | To send your receipt, your invitation link and order page, and the order emails listed below. |
| Your invitation: envelope choice, card wording, names, dates and places you type in | To show your invitation to the guests you send the link to. Anyone with the link can open it, so don’t put anything in it you wouldn’t share with your guests. |
| Your event date | To know when your invitation should close: it stays online for 12 months after this date. |
| The link to your Google Form, and a copy of its question list (not any answers) | To show your RSVP questions on the card, and to notice if the form changes so guests can still reply. |
| Payment status and a Stripe reference number | To confirm you paid and match the payment to your invitation. |
| Basic site traffic (page views, country, browser type), without cookies | To see whether the site is working and which pages people read. |
We don’t collect your card details. You enter them on Stripe’s page and we never see them.
What we never collect
- Guest replies. When a guest replies on the card, their browser sends the answers directly to the Google Form in your Google account. They don’t pass through our site and we don’t keep a copy.
- A guest list. We don’t ask for it and we don’t store one. If you buy guest envelopes, the guest’s name is part of the link you send them; we don’t keep a list of the names.
- Marketing profiles. We don’t sell or rent your information, and we don’t share it for advertising.
Who helps us handle it
- Stripe takes your payment and sends the receipt. It collects your card and billing details under its own privacy policy.
- Resend delivers our emails to you. It sees your email address and the email text, under its own privacy policy.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and stores your order, and provides cookieless traffic statistics. See its privacy policy.
- Google supplies the fonts you see on this site (so Google’s servers receive your device’s IP address when a page loads), and runs the Google Form and Sheet you create for replies. Your Form and Sheet are in your own Google account, under Google’s privacy policy and your settings.
These companies may process information outside Canada, including in the United States. We share your information with them only so they can do the job described above.
Emails we send you
About your own order only:
- a confirmation with your invitation link and order page;
- one reminder, about a day later, if your invitation has an RSVP card and you haven’t connected a Google Form yet;
- a notice if your Google Form changes in a way that stops replies working on the card (at most one every six hours).
We don’t send marketing emails unless you ask for them.
Cookies and what’s saved on your device
We don’t set cookies ourselves. Cloudflare and Stripe may set their own security cookies to tell people from bots and to protect payments. Your browser saves two small things for convenience: the invitation you’re building (so you can come back to it) and, on a guest’s phone, a count of replies sent from it. Both stay on that device and aren’t sent to us.
How long we keep it
- Unpaid checkouts: deleted after 7 days.
- Paid invitations (wording, your email, your event date, your form link): your invitation stays online for 12 months after your event date. After that, its link shows an “invitation has ended” page, and we delete the order about a month later.
- Payment and tax records: Stripe and we keep these as long as the law requires (in Canada, generally six years).
- Emails in Resend’s logs: kept under Resend’s own retention settings.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete your order early (which takes your invitation offline) by emailing hello@minimary.co from the address you used at checkout. If you’re a guest and want something you replied with removed, contact the host: the replies are in their Google Sheet, not ours.
Children
Minimary is for adults buying invitations. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change how we handle information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
